GoDaddy is testing a new price for all .co domain names. At $11.99 a piece I’d suggest everyone go out and grab a couple before the cost gets hiked back up. The price applies to domain renewals and extended year purchases.
For those of you who haven’t been paying attention GoDaddy is also planning a marketing blitz with SuperBowl featured ads specifically targeting the .co extension. This might be your last good chance at a quality domain name before the entire world realizes the possibilities with the .co domain name and it becomes universally accepted as a worldwide standard.
AND JUST LIKE THAT GODADDY’S LITTLE EXPERIMENT IS OVER. APPARENTLY IT WAS A ONE TIME OFFERING THEY WERE DOING FOR MARKET RESEARCH. I’M GUESSING THEY LEARNED THAT PEOPLE WILL BUY SIGNIFICANTLY MORE IF THEY OFFER .CO DOMAINS FOR LOWER PRICES. I, FOR ONE, BOUGHT THREE DOMAINS I HADN’T PREVIOUSLY PLANNED ON PURCHASING.
